The potential exposition of connectors to pollution, weather agents and mechanical shocks, becomes considerably increased in all those situations where cables remain unmated for long time.

Harsh environments and applications, indeed, always require high protection and resistance features.

The CG/MG series of enclosures by ILME fulfills those purposes combining technical aspects such as water tightness to IP66/IP68/IP69 versatile rating and compliance with EMC standards. As a natural completion of this product range, now enlarged, we have introduced the CGC…G metal covers.

Specifically dedicated to screw-locking hoods, added to the already existing covers for CG/MG housings, the new covers are suitable for all the sizes, from “44.27” up to “104.27”, and characterized by:

• die cast aluminium alloy strenght
• epoxy thermosetting powder coating, black colour, anti-corrosion
• O-ring sealing gasket around the mating profile and captive stainless-steel nuts for solid closing

The CGC…G covers are equipped with a robust stainless-steel cord, loop terminated: when hung around the cable, it allows the fixing to hoods, providing the continue protection of the connector installed inside, once locked.
